so cameron is a degenerate. he just up and left bro like what. and marcellus maybe died ? we aren't sure. the important part of that is he is back in the ocean (thank you tova our queen) so we won't ever know haha

ok so now they know that cameron's mom knew (and was potentially involved with) tova's son up until he died, however thats about as far as we are with that. i'm scared that this book will end with my friend marcellus dying, which would be very sad (so i hope i'm wrong). hoping that there are some specific questions about the relationship gets defined between tova and cameron soon, bc marcellus is convinced

so the octopus is apparently the most observant creature to exist. and has a theory (which i hope is correct) that cameron and tova are related. again, jf its not then he is a fairly purposeless character tbh

found out how her son died, sort of. cameron is now in the town, gonna meet marcellus because he is taking over for tova while she is hurt. genuinely the state of tova's life is kind of sad. truly don't want her to die alone, but that is how she has been acting. also cameron's whole plot line is genuinely so random. like either his dad is tova's dead son or he is entirely irrelevant...so we'll see where that goes.

ok so like i'm getting to a point where i'm starting to need information. for example, how did tova's son die? where does this cameron character fit into all of this? things like this

getting a bit more interesting now. still unsure how the characters all connect, but each character is individually developing so its definitely picking up a bit now. still enjoying the diary entries of the special guy marcellus.

so far i'm enjoying the bits from our friend marcellus (the orange giant Pacific octopus). i enjoy that they are a sort of diary entry. i'm intrigued to see how all of the characters being introduced fit together.
