Lex Kaye is starting A Spy Among Friends: Kim Philby and the Great Betrayal
4.5/5 This is the second McIntyre book I read with his first being one of my favorite reads of the last few years. I thought this was a very well told version of events around Philby given the confidential nature of the topic. McIntyre avoids opining on the archaic nature of old school spy recruitment and the damage it had on UK’s security, but the manipulation by Philby is well portrayed and truly shocking

Lex Kaye is starting Project Hail Mary
Incredibly detailed and well painted plot with more Sci-Fi elements than I initially expected. The detail and scientific theories can be a little overwhelming at times but the jovial tone that Weir typically uses is present throughout and an enjoyable read as a result. I did not read as fast as usual but nonetheless a good read. Would really only recommend to Sci-Fi fans but would recommend to all of them
