Chapter 8:
Simon telling Luke about Camilles offer.
Simon being the bate at his own gig.
Jace and Kyle coming along very well.
Clary with Jocelyn on a sidequest checkin out a dead demon baby in the hospital.

I’m down right as irritated and confused as Grace. Four months have passed? I thought we would continue nonstop to the events of book 1?
And if Grace is suddenly not a stone statue anymore, then where the hell is Hudson Vega?

Was scared for a moment, but Emory apparently only wants to join the order, to stop it.

Emory seriously wants in the so called „Order“, for which people already died for? And by only getting in if using her new dangerously never used magic? That sounds like nothing could go wrong.

Chapter 6:
Not Clary inventing a rune, which kind of brings back the dead. And said dead shadowhunter telling them that no other than Camille Belcourt was the one killing him. So much for trusting her.

Simon and Jace having a little quality time together, in which Jace declares Simon’s roommate as a werewolf (what a shocker)

Well you better not break that mate-bond, Jaxon, or I will go livid

So we have Grace sacrificing herself to save Jaxon by being stabbed to death by his (so wonderfully back to life) brother Hudson.
In the process she turns to stone, which apparently means she’s a gargoyle, and imprisons Hudson within her.
She can willingly turn back, which she won’t, cause that would mean that Hudsons set free, too…

After a lot of this and that, Grace can supposedly convince Jaxon (for now) that they should be together and he’s not the one responsible for all the shit that’s happend.
Also him casually dropping that the vampire queen AKA HIS MOTHER was the one who gave him that scar on his face

Sooo, insane Lia apparently wanted to sacrifice Grace in some ancient ritual to being back the mass murdering psycho Hudson aka her mate. To ensure her plan works she plotted it months before, even killed Grace‘ parents for it. There is a lot of fighting between Grace and Lia and Lia and Flint and Jaxon and so on. Turns out the shifters wanted to kill Grace, so Lia cannot use her for said ritual.

WTF
Right at the point where I trusted Lia, she turns? Poisons the tea Grace and Jaxon drank, slaps Grace in the face and shoots Jaxon in the heart with a gun. Like wtf?

Love the friendship which blooms between Lia and Grace

What is happening?
You telling me that Flint of all people (or dragons) tried to kill Grace. Once at the snowballfight (where not he jumped to save her but Jsxon made him jump) and then later he was the one who manoeuvred Grace under the chandelier right before it broke. AND THEN HE DIDNT EVEN DENY IT WHEN CONFRONTED, but rambles about how „it’s not for the reasons you think“??

„Because it reminds me of how I got it, and I don’t want you anywhere near that world. And I sure as hell don’t want that world anywhere near you.“

Arghghh, stawwwp it 🥹

Is that how making out with a vampire looks like? Him being in her neck with his fangs?

Not the witchy librarian lady telling Grace that „You’re more than you think you are.“
Grace retorting that she doesn’t know what that means. And Amka (the witch librarian) telling her; „You will when you need to. That’s what matters.“
Oh I’m so exited

Chapter 5:
Simon after manipulating his mother and „moving out temporarily“ is the most depressing thing ever.
Also this Kyle guy gives me some seriously concerning vibes.

A witch??
And what do you mean Grace should’ve been one too?

Crazy hilarious this women.

Also, the vampire thing i pretty much expected, but what do you mean Jaxon didn’t bite her, who else could it have been

Ok so Grace just woke up in the nursery (with no memory of how and why) and the nurse, Macy and Macy’s dad behaved sooo strange..
is she already turned into a vampire? It’s the only thing that would make sense

Everything’s happening so fast, I can’t 😭
We go from; Grace having an emotional outburst, from her and Jaxon having a good time „at his favourite place“ watching a meteor shower, to them making out, only for it to end appruptly cause of an earthquake and Jaxon shouting at her to leave (after she got cut by glass).
Like hello, there’s the vampire coming out……

The murdering kind of tension between Flint and Jaxon is building up fast. Everytime Grace is with Flint, Jaxon’s going nuts

Love how Jaxon hints ON THE FREAKIN NOSE that he’s a vampire. Like what do you mean he gifts Grace the Twilight book and all these comments about „oh this is going to be everything, expect of easy“ and him wearing all those expensive dark designer clothes 😂

Just love how Macy instantly sees that there’s something going on between Grace and Jaxon. Especially after that „Falling out of a tree“-situation.

Chapter 20:
Witnessing the snowballfight, which is almost ending „in World War III“, after Grace falls off a tree (like 20m high), only for Flint to jump after her and somehow manages to turn them both so he hits the ground first, only then for Jaxon to show up and accuse Flint for endangering her. I swear the tension even I felt. What the hell is happening

Jace having nightmares about stabbing Clary to death (wonder where that’s coming from).

Simon meeting up with Raphael of all vampires (?) to ask if the memory erasing towards his mother can be undone. And to ask if he can stay at the Dumort. Raphael declining. Ohh boy Simon is so going to work with Camille

Chapter3:
Jace and Clary qualitytiming whilest training. Jace being weird (probably bc he was dead). Jocelyn disliking him apparently very much.

Simon’s mum finding out about him being a vampire and having a full on tandrum (being all „you’re not my son“), and Simon hypnotising her into that it was all a dream. We’ll see how long lasting that’s going to be
