Couldn’t stand all the typos, so gave up!

I have read 242 of the 977 pages, but I just cannot continue. This book is riddled with typos. It’s a phenomenon I have never seen in a book before and it must be something that has to do with AI proofing or something because the word opposite is inserted into words, multiple times over and over. At first, I was going to try to ignore it, but it was so distracting and it was upsetting me so much. I quit. No mas.

The book is very good. I am very distracted, however, by repeated typos.It is very strange because the word opposite keeps appearing within other words. At first, I thought maybe these were words that I did not know, but it is as if someone who was proofreading this novel kept inserting the word opposite in other words. For example the word THANKS appears as THAOPPOSITEKS.Has anyone else noticed this strange pattern?

This is such a meditation on our natural world here in Maine. I have been so enjoying it. I can picture everything the author is going through. I am so glad I found this book.

As someone who has a family cottage with a pontoon boat on a Maine lake, this novel is so relatable. Plus I have read all of this author’s books, and so far this one is my favorite. A real page-turner.

Excellent story, like all from this author. Really draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat.
