A grueling brutal and painful book to get through. Only 100 pages in and I am just exhausted at what we are capable of doing to each other. Small glimmers of light in an inky abyss. Extremely important book but almost unbearably horrific. The women who fought stand alone. I cannot believe that all of this took place less than a hundred years ago. The world still has the same monsters.

Nothing is better than a child finally standing up an adult, no victory is more sweet. In so many children’s stories adults are the monsters and for so many they still are.

Getting back into Classics. I didn’t give this one a fair shot the first time around and now I return, more weary, more wise.

Horrifying, enthralling, literally a hike won’t ever look that bad anymore. No one suffers like people in the 1840s suffer 😭

Inside all romantasy protagonists there are two wolves, one is ridden with PTSD, dread and fear over the burden of saving the world, and the other just wants to fuck. I feel like I know who will win this battle.
