I laughed out loud. I like the interactions between Dazai and the stranger.

I don’t like how the narration has been taken away from E and has given us nothing. The two types of narrations in this novel are not doing what the author believed it would. Personally, I find it dull. I don’t think it was done in an engaging or enhancing way. If we are changing narrators, then the story has to get better or the storytelling should change considering they are “different people”.

Confusing and weird. It’s an interesting read.

I find it boring and monotonous. There isn’t anything exciting and interesting happening. I can relate to the main characters joy and love for reading but otherwise, there’s nothing for me to care about.

I had to drop it for now to move on. I might come back to finish the second part to complete the book once I’ve read my other ones.

The book is fantastic so far and I’m only on page 12. I relate to Takako and find her way of thinking and perceiving her surroundings enlightening.
