I’m trying to read this book the best I can. I’m just so confused and annoyed. Why is it staying in present tense but also talking about the past while acting like it’s the present?

Another this is the ignorance and bigotry. Like I get it, the author is showing us how he grew up and the environment he was in but because of the present tense issue, it’s just annoying to read.

The amount of ableist comments in this book is wild. Like WE GET IT!!!
