I’m a bit annoyed this book didn’t come with trigger warnings, particularly about cannibalism. I would’ve used caution. Now I can’t unread what I’ve read. A really gruesome chapter I hope fades from my mind. :(

I’m enjoying this more than I thought I would!

This book is a bit more drawn out and slow, so it’s not as engaging unfortunately. It’s taking longer to finish than anticipated.

This pace is killing me- and the relationship between the pirates and gods is getting real confusing 😅

It’s amazing how you can make good steady progress reading an enjoyable book…

I’ll be honest, I’m close to DNFing this. Although the characters are interesting, and the broad strokes of the plot create a cool concept, the dialogue is ROUGH and poorly written. It’s also riddled with typos… 😐

This is a rough read- which is surprising to me because I loved Wings of Starlight! Still want to know how it ends, so I’ll keep pushing…. but I’m realizing now why I put it down months ago 😅

Okay we’ve got more happening now! It’s good! :)
