gets very complicated with the familial ties. I don’t usually read 18th century Georgian-era stories,so I lose a little interest with the time period. But if it’s your thing, you’ll like it.

Word of advice, if you get confused about characters (or with name reveals) just keep reading. don’t google. I spoiled it a bit and am also more confused now than I was.

Very fun so far. Atmospheric. Lots of old Celtic/British lore. Magic and mysticism woven Into the story by way of astrology, horoscopes, cartomancy, “the square of seven”. origins of tarot-reading. fantastic character development as well as relational development between characters.

I absolutely LOVE THIS BOOK. And as a new Ranger myself, it is giving me the courage to keep trying for the ultimate dream one day, to work for the NPS

DNF. At first it was interesting but then it just got annoying honestly.

Interesting, not my usual genre preference but if I ever see the movie, I want to read the book first!
