I tried, okay? I really tried. Going into this blind was a mistake.
R*pe in the literal first chapter?!?!?
I can already see how this is gonna go. We’re going to sit with ch.1 for a few more chapters then learn the fmc is into non-con and the ACTUAL CRIME that was committed in ch.1 will be passed off as a kink!!
No fuckin thank you!!!! First DNF of 2024 because it just doesn’t sit right with me!

I love it, but… I… just… want… them… to STOP DANCING AROUND THEIR FEELINGS. SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW BURN.

On another note… Rowan gives off the same energy as my boyfriend (ignoring the fact that Rowan is a literal serial killer) and I love him 10x more because of that. When she calls him “pretty boy” and he says “you think I’m pretty?” THE BANTER!!!!!!

I honestly thought I would hate it but I spent over 3 hours reading it today… safe to say I don’t hate it.

I cannot wait for the last book. I’m literally on the edge of my seat.

I’m intrigued and bored at the same time.

I have high hopes for this book based solely on the fact that Ruby Dixon wrote it.

I’m taking a break. I find the dialogue hard to keep up with and it took me an hour and a half in total to read 53 pages because I had to keep rereading :( I stopped reading on June 27th and haven’t picked up a book since because I’ve been distraught over this one.

10/10, I just haven’t had time to read lately
