This passage! I wasn't expecting there to be Christian themes at all, when I picked this book up, but I've been presently surprised. <3

My library finally added the rest of the series, so I'm giving this one a reread before checking them out. 😋

I'm sick, so a comfort re-read it is.

Not even a hundred pages in yet and I already have a feeling this book's going to make me cry. 🥲

Barnes & Noble book haul! My local store had a lot of sales going on, so, of course, I snagged a few new tomes to add to my growing library. 🤭

I cannot for the life of me keep the characters in this book straight 😭

Listening to this as an audiobook... I may or may not have zoned out and lost track of my spot. 😅

Oh boy. Here we go again, with the repetitiveness... 😫

And now we've finally reached the plot twist I knew was coming before I even reached the halfway mark. Aiii, this book. 😅

They aren't going on about the prince's "ebony eyes" anymore, at least, but now the protagonist keeps "nibbling her lip" every time she's nervous (which is at least once every chapter) and it's driving me insane. It's not as repetitive as Powerless, but goodness, it's close. 🥴

I swear if I hear the phrase "ebony eyes" one more time-

I'm not sure I like this love interest (assuming he is, in fact, the love interest)...

The cover screams winter romance vibes, but hey. It's part of a series that contains books with more summer-y covers, which I'm trying to get to, so I'll deal with it. 😂

Prime Day Haul! I bought the hardcover of A Forgery of Fate by Elizabeth Lim, and the paperbacks of Lovely War by Julie Berry, Cinder by Marissa Meyer, & A Midnight Dance by Joanna Davidson Politano. 📚✨

Aaand I'm starting yet another book because apparently I have no self-control. At least this one's short? 😅
