Just had a book recommended to me and it literally was trying to sell me with all the tropes I hate, I’m crying 😭 dark romance, enemies to lovers, why choose, forced proximity. Barking up the entirely wrong tree

Jamie’s whole personality is so yucky to me. She’s a terrible friend, dismissive, rude as hell for no reason, overbearing, and tramples over people’s boundaries but expects everyone to treat her with kid gloves. She’s 35, acting 13. Disgusting.

There hasn’t been a single point in this book when I have not been confused. And not in the fun, thriller way.

This book is as long as it is solely because the FMC doesn’t want to make a decision. That’s literally it. The moment she decides to be with him for real, the book is going to finish.
