Really boring so far. The story with Zomi is nice but just boring, reading about someone learning is not fun or really interesting. Jias motives to put a coward on the throne is boring too, dislikable character these days. Big drop off from book 1 so far, I’m sure it will heat up

Since when did Letheras and the bone hunters books become my favourite setting. So much more engaging than genabackis. I just love fiddler, bottle and the beddict brothers

The most jarring book to start, feels very disconnected apart from Trull but he was only minor and it’s a very long time in the past. But as per 38% in, shits kicking off and I’m getting locked in

Jesus the Tenescowri are terrifying. Graphic chapter prompting emotions akin to coltaines last stand… I miss coltaine

Holy fuck. Coltaine, my boy. What an insane chapter, best of the series by far, the emotion, it was so moving

The protagonist is a very very convenient special wizard that hasn’t been seen in millennia and doesn’t work like other wizards and can break all rules when the need is great enough is absolutely horrendous story telling, get out of jail free card that reduces the stakes in everything, been this way for a while but only just deeped how stinky that is

Genuinely belly laughed from the character interactions in the book far more than anything else I’ve ever read. Dann is my guy

Best ones in here are about Shai the forger on Sel, and anything Kelsier related but not allomancer Jak that was a bit weird. Threnody was cool too actually

Real tough read, Jennsen Rahl is extremely annoying and extremely stupid, if she had any critical thinking skills and just asked a fucking question the story would be over. The first 7 books read are the actual story and you provide a new character that is acting based on a different version of what we already know and making stupid decisions based on it and if she just asked one fucking question, I hope she dies

I do not like the 2 new characters. Jennsen is a stupid stupid character and there’s nothing more I hate than a stupid character. 1/5 so far

Ok there a good political plot line, giving mistress of the empire vibes but obviously not as good, it’s drawing me back in 3/10

You can’t introduce a new character POV on chapter 18 out of 70 in book 5 of your series, dropped off massively for me, sitting at a 2/10 atm

Started this series 5 months ago, and on book 30/30. Sad it’s coming to an end because it’s actually been brilliant. 2/10 of the longest fantasy series published soon to be complete

Good old fashioned fantasy, like a breath of fresh air. Long old chapters though
