caricanread did a speed read / summary video of this book and god did it hit me with a wave of nostalgia! This used to be the BLUEPRINT for yearning and romance but upon this re-read boy do I cringe almost every other sentence!! I’m sorry to younger me who thought this was the peak of romance and loyalty and I’m proud of present me for being like “I would’ve closed the door on all this mess”

It felt like this story really started hitting its stride after Chapter 23…. It’s a really interesting concept but just sometimes told in a bit of a boring way. But pushing through since she said “you can’t leash Evil” - I know this story is gonna shove us towards the “unleashing” and that’s what I’m excited for!
