Should I have taken it as a red (maybe yellow?) flag that someone hand wrote “in the words of blank to blank”. If anything I feel validated that my reading comprehension hasn’t weakened.
It’s just hard to sit down and be transported back into the story without knowing which generation it’s coming from. Or is that the pojnt?! This book could have been done so much better. I’ll try the audiobook.

Really hard to follow each chapter, who’s telling this story to who?
Is that the whole point?? I don’t know if I need to trust the process and enjoy the ride OR keep rereading paragraph after paragraph to figure out who is telling the story to who? (I scored high in reading comprehension so this isn’t crazy)

I’m bored. Another vapid boring protagonist, another brooding cynical love interest.
