Really weird to read this book in 2020, humanity's reaction isn't difficult to believe now

See, now this is an amazing non-fiction book! There is so much wisdom in every chapter that I'm grateful that he summarises them. If I had a highlighter this whole book would be pink ♥️

Called it. I understand why so many people are surprised and delighted about the way the story developed, but unfortunately I wasn't. I've known for ages what's going to happen as I've literally read this story before.

And now I'm worried. This better not be going where I think it's going.

This book is already surprising me with the narrative and where it's going, and I'm so here for it!

Chaotic world-building, characters who act out of character or suddenly change their minds without any explanation, but the worst part is the fact that it reads like a cheap knock-off of Six of Crows. I think I've picked up the first read of the year that won't agree with me...

All these jumps forward and back in the timeline are making me quite dizzy. Still sure this book is going to render me deadish by the end though 🖤 Shusterman is a storytelling genius and he needs to be read by everyone.

This book took ages to get to me, yet I'm still not mentally prepared to read it. This thing is going to kill me, isn't it? *Deep breath*

I love, Love, LOVE what Rowell did with the magic system! "I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it" as a spell? Bloody genius!
