Honestly, my biggest complaint rn is the writing style, cause why are we breaking up the same scene into multiple chapters. Other than that it’s cute.

PROGRESS. We’re learning more and more abt what happened, slowly but surely. Feels like I’m on an investigative case rn. But I’m loving the dark academia and the whole hierarchy of a secret society. And I think I know which group I’d be in. The gossip one ofc, which is cool bc they’re the necromancers. So sign me up for that one.

So our FMC might be a little unhinged and I’m loving that. but omg I’m absolutely loving this story. Sneaking into a morgue. And then learning abt all the secret societies. And we’re getting little bits and pieces of the past. PERFECT

I love a valid crash out moment. But fuck I’m loving this book. The whole secret society of it all. Plus I’m getting Magic and lore and I LOVE both. Rose can attest to this.

A modern fantasy with a secret society and an fmc with a troubled past that she’s trying to ignore. SIGN ME TF UP

So like when do we get to the big moment. Like where people said they couldn’t put the book down. And honestly not surprised with what happened.

I feel like a lot has happened but also not enough. It’s been slow moving. Everything abt it has been slow moving. The investigation, the romance, etc. we’ve gotten some lore but not a lot.

Honestly the resolve with the fake letter felt rushed. Kinda wished it was a bigger thing.

Is it bad that I had hoped Sebastian’s dad was the reason something bad had happened? And I wish we got an actual scene with Christian instead of just a mention. But hey, no third act breakup.

Don’t tell me a third act breakup is gonna happen bc of a fuck ass family feud.

The girls and the guys are together for their respective nights out and I love it. I love having everyone together. I’m just curious how she’s gonna solve the Pittsburgh situation, the letter, and a third act breakup (if there is one).

Wow a lot has happened since. Ofc the people that I was really interested in died, just my luck. And there is still a lot of info being thrown. But I’m really intrigued by all the fae and angels and all other beings here. And also loving the modern fantasy. Aver lo que pasa. Loving Hunt tho and his history.

First sex scene yall!!! But she runs away so smh. But at least we’re progressing and acknowledging our feelings for each other. So progress. And we learned of the gift too. Now I’m assuming we’re gonna learn of the big thing that happened in their past.

Only six percent of the way in and there is already so much information going on. Just sticking to keeping the fmc’s name right now lol.

What is it with this man owning every single restaurant that she goes to. Like come on. But, the gift was kinda sweet ngl. I know I would have appreciated something like that, even three months late. And I’m glad we didn’t have to wait that long to know what it was. But ffs, just kiss already, everyone knows it but you.

Honestly, I really liked this ending. I wish we had more of AJ but I’m glad we learned the truth and I don’t mind it.
