Ah such familiar characters

Needed a good ol YA novel

Ok I find it kinda hard to believe that even the spooky ghost is good at basketball really???

Oh jeez

so much foreshadowing oh lord I’m nervous

The teenage characters are so compelling with what each is going through. Really awesome writing the way he incorporates generational traumas.

aw I like Cassidy

holy shit

“Without Peta here to talk him down, this is all making perfect sense” even his internal monologue is telling him he’s losing it

Im gonna be honest i don’t really buy this quick jump in his head.

I don’t know enough basketball slang for this book 😭

“…how so real a love can become, too often, so foolish and vile a bigotry.”

Damn Ursula

Ok I like this political drama

This narrator is really forgetting how the government treated him and its own ppl like pages before…

“If civilization has an opposite, it is war.”

Ok this is a cool perspective

Im having a hard time connecting with the main character :/

I’m really hoping Rebecca puts a little hope in about academia and the world before the end because jeeezus

Ok three deus ex machina plot points are a bit much

Now I’m just determined to finish this

Ugh because it’s an ARC, the Chinese characters didn’t print properly :(

Okay yeah I also feel bad for Peter

“She should have been born a rock” 🪨
