Cool to see how spiritual habits can also be applied. Like how bad habits never really "go away." They still lurk in the background, waiting for you to move away from your new behavior to fade away -- like sin, and how it never really goes away until we continue living in God's spirit.

I'm struck by how the romantic approach of marriage is very much a recent, modern concept. Compared to the sentiment in the 1960s, most married for reasons outside of romantic love.

"Feeling-based" marriage should not be the purpose for the "why" we marry, but at this point in my reading, I'm still unsure how those feelings could coexist with the broader purpose of what Matt. 6:33 commands us to do.
