Welp I’m going to give this one another shot!

Finally got out of nearly a five month reading slump- after visiting the library, I’m ready to get back in the swing of reading! 🌸

Ok from page 59 onward things really start to pick up- I really enjoy the banter between Malakai and Kiki. They keep clashing heads while simultaneously having effortless banter and the chemistry is GIVING. Also love Kiki’s narration. Definitely savoring this one bc I already anticipate a high rating

There’s something about the writing that feel lacking but I know it’s supposed to be a good story so I’m pushing through. Feyre feels a bit one dimensional and it’s hard to truly get to know these characters or have an idea of what they are feeling until the moment it happens, it’s throws me off. However, listening to the Graphic audiobook makes this so much more bearable and enjoyable. Is it just me?

Just waiting for that first anticipated murder already now that the setting has been set and the family dysfunction has been dysfunctioning… like hurry up 😫😭

Off to an intriguing start- going to try to read about 40 more pages later today

Not too sure on how I feel about this book so far

Everything about this chapel is super unsettling and both husband and wife seem to be behaving way too calmly… I would’ve left and found the nearest motel

I’m loving this retelling so far🥰
