I'll be so honest I put this book on hold and then read worm for a 4th time and I have no desire to read this again afterwards I do not enjoy it very much at all. Worms still good tho.

I had being recommended to read self help books for Therapy this shit is talking about using a gender neutral version of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey as a life guide 💀

Whereas the Hyperion saga imagines a scifi future revolving around Catholicism and religion, thus imagines a much scarier world. A scifi future revolving around the nation of France.

Been interesting but not rly my thing so far. Interested to see if I reach a bit that gives me a panic attack (or some nearby emotions) cause I've seen multiple reviewers mention that happening but I feel like if it was going to happen it would have happened by now?

Love when a series had been setting up that a 27 yr old guy will sleep with a girl he met when she was 12 for a while, so your on edge the whole time trying to figure out how it will possibly spin that- esp when he keeps commenting on how he sees her as a daughter.
Then, cryosleep later, he's 32 and she's 21, and it happens - and he's just as confused about it as the reader is?? What was the plan here Dan?

Finished Umineko, will probs post a review later, now I can return to "31 yr old lists after 16 yr old messiah he met when he was 27 and she was 12" (aka Hyperion book 4)

Been taking a break from this to go read Umineko when they cry instead (which is not on good reads, despite basically being an ebook) (I got baited by social media posts into trying a VN and now have to suffer the fact that umineko is pretty good)

There's a character called "Vod Drinsky" who appears for 3 pages and is characterised as "some drunk guy". Vod Drinsky, the drunk character. Vod Drinsky. I hate it here. /j

Heart-warming: book u rly liked has a sequel and the sequel is just as good (so far)
