The premise sounded promising. However, the story so far feels unclear, the characters are difficult to connect with, and it's hard to tell where the author is going. Will stick with it for a bit. Might DNF it.

Romance isn’t usually my genre, but Dolly’s character was so well written that I couldn’t help but get invested in her story. This was my first book by this author, and I ended up enjoying it much more than I expected!
