One bed trope - done right? Wished it would have been dragged out more but then they basically already confessed their desire for each other before.

A little miscommunication although he is saying it straight. But I will allow it.

It is very much romantic fantasy, a good mix of both however the fantasy is too weak to stand alone. I begrudgingly have to admit that the fantasy part of Cruel Prince felt more vibrant and fleshed out then here (Sidenote: I did not enjoy Cruel Prince) - so far
E.g. she walks around the city some times but rarely explains interactions with vendors (where’s the whimsy)

I feel like I would have enjoyed it much more Irmi hadn’t read Fourth Wing beforehand. The key „ingredients“ are so similar it feels almost uninspired although I do like the concept.
In the beginning I thought they became friendly fairly quickly but it could be because I had some long reading breaks in the first few chapters.

I feel like the reader finally gets a glimpse into Feyres thought process, she seemed sort of secretive in some way. The other characters are more fleshed out to me then her.

Other notes:
- the cringe is barrable
- I can actually follow the fantasy part of the story (compared to Onyx Storm for example)
- hoping Tamlin part gets deeper or else I would be disappointed of how much everyone hates him

I really couldn’t care less about all the fight scenes - and the characters :/

I think I will just have to accept that I love sappy romance novels.
