Diem literally makes me so angry and I'm convinced Penn Cole doesn't like her either. Literally insufferable. After the fight, he should have been done with her...she's pathetic, but he will StAy AlWaYs. 🙄

I can't believe I'm still not halfway...this is not an epic final book, but i need to know how it ends.

During this re-read, I think it's losing a star for me just based on how low key needy Loren is. I get she's human, and I don't hate her as a FMC, but she clings to Darien so fast and it comes off icky. Otherwise, I love the plot. And Darien.

I feel like I also hate this overwhelming plot of she's 20 and a virgin...like it's okay if she's not...because obvi, he's not...can we get a not gross plot line of her being shy and bashful in the bedroom...because female sexuality is actually really cool.

BUT THIS BOOK IS SOOOO GOOD. The FMC and MMC are both amazing...can they just be like experienced mid-twenties, so spice isn't weird at first!?!

Re-read because I never finished book 3 and therefore didn't get to book 4...and I don't remember shit except that I like Loren and I LOVE Darien. 🤤🤣

Remembered why I rated this 3 ⭐️ the first time. Aurelie sucks. I didn't think I could be more annoyed with a female character than Diem: enter her mother. But Diem also just bends to her mom's advice instead of tried and true Luther's. Like be so fucking for real Diem. 🙄

Luther kinda sucks in this one. Why Penn Cole decided he suddenly doesn't tell Diem everything is beyond me.

But also Diem should have known. I still beef with her.

Okay, I'm remembering things. I think a big reason Diem bothers me is that she literally will do something and then assume she doesn't trust people or they don't trust her and want nothing to do with her, but when she actually talks to those people it's all fine. People reassure her all the time. I would have been fine for book 1 (and was a reason she didn't totally bother me in book 1) , but here we are on book 3...

I forget how slooooowww this burn really is. Deliciously and deviously. But OMG so slow. Like Diem deserves it, but I don't. 🤣

I'm not going to lie...this entire chapter had me CACKLING. A lot of relief in chapter 1 from the craziness of the end of book 6!!
