In a System where choice is given, I wonder if Primal had purposefully been given the disadvantage of needing boring grinding to dissuade many ppl from choosing it. Or perhaps the alternative where the System didn't care, and it's just a biological truth that you can choose something rare and epic at the cost of being something you must work for...but boy will that work be worth it.

I like that the "aliens" or whatever, and the NPCs had been studying human culture for decades. It does a really good job explaining why the achievements are written in that way. Although now I'm thinking about AI and how it could have generated similar descriptions if fed enough with that sarcastic dark humor.

What I'm really appreciating is how Esther Yi weaves words into thoughts and visions in my head that are so new and delicious to me. Every time I come across a sentence that I instinctively do the "not bad" meme face for, is like a micro dosage of the narrator's first experience of Moon.
