Katniss and Peeta conclude that “(Haymitch) outsmarted the others” in his games to win, when that is exactly what they do to win their game. Not only do they outsmart their fellow tributes, but those puppeteering the games as well. I find it a beautiful commentary on the necessary adaptation of wit to survive in a world like Panem and a district like 12.
