Feeling like I can make broad generalizations of his arguments, at least based on this last chapter. Maybe that’s an issue with me or him.

Finally picked this back up. I might try and finish it before starting a new one. I will not be restarting this…

Some of the sentence structures are a bit weird; I get what Brown is doing, but I’m not super accustomed to seeing it. The structure feels like slightly clunky stream of consciousness. I’ve been reading it slower than I expect. Maybe it’s remembering all the lore.

I was roughly a fifth through this, but stopped for reasons I don’t remember. Coming back to it and restarting. Brutal first chapter.

I’m struggling with some of this NBA history. The what if’s chapter was a lot. And hard to fully invest in or follow. We will see if I finish this

I think I read this five years ago. I don’t remember realizing it had been 50 years since it was published. The drawing of the kid they pick up is a trip. The kid’s Micke Mouse has a swastika. I also don’t think I realized the drawings were part of the story itself. I think I thought they were added on. This one has a cool intro.

Almost started this “wow”, which seems to be my go to for this app. Bill Simmons was definitely raunchier and borderline shockingly so at points. Almost offensive. He has definitely changed, at least on his podcasts. It’s kinda like hanging out with him, but in book form rather than podcast. It’s been fun!
