rereading books i loved as a child.
this one has so much potential but is falling flat in many instances. i think using a first person pov would've helped. the third person pov feels,,, lazy???? in this way. mostly used to TELL the reader what is going on, rather than show it.

"lucy started walking..... she felt as if..... lucy wiped her mouth.... she felt her stomach cramp"

i will say i am enjoying the story tho

finally rereading this. part 2 destroyed me so bad the first time, i put it down for like three years hahahh

my fav thing is picking a book to read simply bc it's available at my library and then being upset (with myself) when it turns out to be a genre i don't enjoy.

however - i will be finishing this book, maybe even liking it? satirical humor is very hard to do as a book imo

this book is so painfully sad i forced myself to put it down and walk in the rain for a spicy mccrispy and a sprite. i dont even eat mcdonalds
