Finished the Designer As Engineer section. Capitalism goes hand in hand with standardization (of which is never unbiased) as well as simplification and efficiency. Maps and mapmaking is very subjective and often times Eurocentric maps (which are most) exclude a vast majority of much more critical and culturally complex information.

i liked the section about neelay walking his father through his built world as vishnu and a beggar together in that moment but never to meet in person again. also douglas and mimi get pepper sprayed and assaulted by the police after chaining themselves to a pillar with 7 others in the headquarters

wind tears through mimas crown, dr patricia westerfield goes to court as expert tree witness and there are some great sections.
