how am I supposed to root for a character that, on one of the most important days of her life, failed an "audition" that was LITERALLY reading a book without falling asleep.. sorry but she failed 96 of these challenges it's just too much, she must be genuinely incompetent

this book is absolutely shameless in everything it steals and does wrong and that takes guts so like. kudos on that front

this book is incredibly ambitious and I am just not are if it's doing it well or not. I think I'll have to wait to see how it ends out because right now I'm feeling a bit disjointed. I wonder if the first might have been better..

so far so good. I think the pacing could be considered a bit slow but I'm not bothered by it. it's not as grossly explicit as I expected which is nice. the writing is well done, though the phrases can be quite lengthy. only characters I really like are Jon and Dany and Ned. Arya is okay, and Sansa is also fine but snobbish. obviously Joffrey is the devil. and the rest of the characters are plain awful. Catelyns funny

i honestly was NOT expecting to be so drawn into this book, not to mention how much of a masterpiece it is. i may have to add this to my very limited 'fav books' collection...

omg i am LOVING this, i'm so glad i picked it for the summer vacation reads challenge thing! the characters continue to be incredibly distinct, and though the author does not say explicitly whose POV is and yet i figure it out in like two paragraphs. verrrryy well done with the character work. best part i think

listening to the audiobook 🎧 and the VOICE ACTING is AMAZING !!! it's told from multiple first person povs and it's really obvious which character is speaking like the characters ugh it's so good
