The way this scene is contextually kinda heartbreaking while also being This Fucking Absurd is a FEAT unto itself.

I’m not TRYING to go into this in bad faith, but I doooo think that if you’re going to write a book about how women are excluded from data and NOT talk about trans women, ur doing smth wrong.

Twenty-five pages in and the author has just. Listed statistics about how women are excluded from society and data. Which like, I get it, it’s the point of the book, but like. After the first 15 pages of just. Listing. Things. We start to get the picture.
