It took me a second to reconfigure my brain because it's been over a year since I read the first novel, but man do I love these characters. I also have read some heavier romances lately so this has been a nice refresher of light-hearted sports romance!

It's cute, but I think I'm noticing a pattern in Oseman's main characters... I will say, I love the representation of the book, but I do fear this one is my least favorite of Oseman's works.

I picked up this book for research purposes of my thesis, which centers around gay culture. So far, I would say I'm disappointed. It doesn't feel very helpful nor descriptive of gay culture like I initially expected. The writing also feels jumpy and inconsistent, making it hard to follow.

So far so good! I love taking a classic tale and giving it a new twist! It is a little juvenile in terms of writing, but there is some true emotion, which I appreciate. Hercules has always been my favorite so I'm gladly going to read the whole thing.

No this is so like. This is giving what I wanted. The authors did not come here to waste my time or my energy. Though, I do wish for a slightly longer break between resolution and realizing the jealousy. It’s giving refined and elegant fan fiction but better.

Oh the angst, the tension, the drama. I’m so here for it! This is my first actual book with erotic content, and I LOVE how quickly we jumped into it. Like yes, give me the plot. Give me the details. Give me EXACTLY what I came here to read. I also love that it’s dual perspective!!

It’s cute. It’s a high school romance.

Today’s reading so far has been better? I think we see a little more character development and backstory, but I think I mostly hate the writing style. The crudeness and vulgarity seems very fitting for the main guy, but the paragraphs are a little sporadic and jump around a lot.

It’s kinda messed up. I think it sucks lowkey, but I’m to curious not to read it all.

It’s clearly about some form of obsessive compulsive order, but in a different way than I’ve seen it written before. It’s definitely intriguing.

This is a very interesting young, queer romance that fully encapsulates what summer love can be like. Although it is not true to every experience, it’s quite astounding to find a book that I personally resonate with and lived through the experiences of as a gay male. It’s cute and witty and young, and I especially love the connection to modern media!
