lowkey forgot how to read :D

(incredibly unrelated to my reading but I recently had a conversation with a philosophy professor and we were talking about why we study this stuff and he said we're the opposite: he needs to escape reality, I am too far away from it. The implications really stuck with me.)

Also kinda stupid but I am so sad Deleuze is dead. I wish I had a mentor or something like him.

many things in this world make me happy. But somewhere at the top of the list is reading N. on the train and being all mysterious :P

Ive had two conversations today about the psychiatric institution and people be taking this apparatus so casually. Its not the colloquial aspect of labeling people that is the problem, it is the pervasive nature that this translates into. There is so much behind the signs and symptoms and socially ascribed behaviors. criminality and social productivity. i dont know what to fucking do anymore.

adding this here now: something tells me I am going to have severe regrets reading this.

in my personal opinion, i think the first/original sin was speech. i will not elaborate.

call me Guattari the way I criticize institutional psychiatry, while ripping my hair out, searching for a better way to mitigate mental illness in a way that serves to be socially conducive yet not fetishizing self-optimization...

theres too much juice in this book (and it’s so good)
