Happy to see Dr. Alan Hart mentioned. Even 100 years ago, transgender people existed and contributed to our communities. Our legacies should be remembered and respected.

How does this book have any right being so good?

I have a love-hate relationship with the feeling I get when a book calls me out like this one does.

This book may have revitalized my view on relationships. It makes me feel that yes, an enjoyable monogamy may in fact be possible for a couple willing to create structures and rituals of symbolic dance and play. This is odd, because the book has not actually talked about much of any of this.

I am enraptured by this book. Kreider captures the feeling of almost-loves beautifully.
