chapter 3 went a bit over my head. i got the general idea though

this book is absolutely beautiful

also i find it very interesting that Basil’s love and admiration for Dorian Gray are clearly coming from a place of homosexuality, and he is afraid of people seeing into his soul through his art, while Wilde was a closeted homosexual himself.

The first chapter of this book may be the most beautifully and eloquently written thing i’ve ever read. Wilde’s poetic writing style is truly incredible.

slowly starting to grow on me, i think i want to like it more than i do tho. still a lot of depressing and/or rambling that i feel too young and too dumb to understand or care about. a few lines have resonated a good amount tho
