Fri 022726 - At Ver’s House in Chicago - I started the “Mother & Son” story after we had Giordano’s Pizza for dinner while Ethan worked on his Accounting homework. Pauloc, Kit, Ethan, & I had a nice visit over dinner while Jay was at tennis & Ver was at Pottery Class. Kit sweetly appealed to me to come w/her & her Mom on their Girl’s Weekend to Spring Lake tonight in an irresistible way. Happy to join. :)

Thurs 022626 - Neat Date!! - At My Sister’s House in Roger’s Park - I’ve been in Chicago since this past Monday evening. I came up for our new co President’s Roadshow on Tuesday afternoon at our Chicago office. It was really interesting & energizing. I enjoyed visiting w/colleagues like Bob Starkus, Danny Dylong, & Will afterwards at our Happy Hour & dinner w/Ethan at The Pasta Bowl in Lincoln Park.

Sun 022226 - 36 ORD - I restarted reading this tonight after Ethan left for Chicago. We had a lovely weekend with him home with us to celebrate my birth month & catch up. It has cooled off again & winter is not quite ready to leave. I’m heading up to Chicago for work for a few days this week for the President’s Roadshow on Tuesday. I’ve heard it’s excellent. Ethan & I will meet up for dinner on Tuesday.

Sun 021526 - 36 ORD - I just finished this in 48 hours, it was quite the page turner! It had some wicked twists I didn’t see coming at all. This is the best book of hers I’ve read so far. Scarier than what I would typically choose to read. We had a long visit on the phone with my Mom. We also went for a 3.2 mile walk this afternoon, walking the loop from our house to the zoo & back. Gorgeous 56 degrees out.

Sun 021526 - 36 ORD Cozy Green Couch w/Buzz - We’ve had a relaxing Sunday morning. There’s some items we need to get done to be more prepared for this week & keep our evenings free to relax. This is quite a page turner & I anticipate I will finish it today. I’m really curious to uncover the mystery. We were chatting about how haunting the Wuthering Heights movie was, a very tragic love story. It was well done.

Sun 021526 - 36 ORD - I read quite a bit yesterday morning before our Valentine’s Day date in Springfield & right before bed after we got home from seeing Wuthering Heights at the AMC Theater. What a tragic movie! It was well done. We enjoyed our late lunch at Abe’s Hideout, hanging out at White Oaks Mall, & the movie. This is one of the creepiest make your skin crawl books I’ve ever read. Still a mystery.

Sat 021426 - 36 ORD - I’ve read A LOT of this already. It is a VERY CREEPY story to say the least. Of all her books I’ve read so far it is the best written in my opinion. We’ve been enjoying a relaxing quiet Valentine’s Day so far. We are going on a date to Springfield soon for lunch at Abe’s, Bubble Tea, a walk since it’s nice, & a movie - Wuthering Heights! Will be super fun & special time visiting.

Fri 021326 - Decatur Public Library - Got a great start on this book while relaxing at the library. Time to head home for dinner now. It was nice to take a break & read. Excited to dive into this book as a fast read.

Fri 021326 - Decatur Public Library Hanging Out in a Cube - It’s been months since I took time to relax at the library. This was such a sanctuary place for me during sabbatical as I had a lot of time to explore in unbounded & unscheduled time. I love my new job & my more challenging projects though workload has been quite heavy this week & I ended up here to relax & recharge for a while easing into the weekend.

Sun 020826 - 36 ORD Living Room - I’ve gotta say Freida McFadden’s books are growing on me. I think this may be my favorite so far. It was a quick read with a lot of twists & turns I didn’t see coming. I liked the medical & mysterious aspects, & her style of interspersing the present w/the past. Definitely going to check out more of her books. Happy to have a reading life again to keep fueling my curiosity.
