Good so far, it was really funny that the character described where he was in Tokyo, and I swear he's in my neighborhood lol.

Had to do a reset on my books I’m reading and just try something new.

I’m loving this so far, it’s also set basically right where I live in Tokyo which is crazy.

I’m really liking this so far. I thought that I knew where it was going, and how it might end up. But now I’m really not sure. So I’m curious to see where we’re going.

It’s really good so far! I like the much more Dante and Mythological depiction of Hell or the underworld. It makes it a lot more just like a fiction story and fairytale, and less demonic if that makes any sense. Idk, but i like it so far

So I’m giving this series another Go. But I’m starting with this book. And I’ve liked it so far. Only finished the first story, but so far it gripped me more than the first 2 whole books did😂. Let’s hope that this book will make me actually want to read the rest of the series😂

Screaming crying throwing up because WHAT the absolute HECK was that 😭

I’m unwell. It’s just that you feel so much for these people and want everything to go well, but that’s just not always the case. And knowing that while the story in and of itself is not a true story, but the events are very much real. It just makes you read it with a different sense of familiarity if that makes sense. Like you KNOW the way it’s going to go. But you hope that somehow it won’t happen.

It’s honestly more graphic than I had expected. But not in a bad way, I feel like it’s just not sugarcoating anything. It’s depicting a real way that people lived and to some extent still do. So far soo good

So this is the first book I’ve started in a while. I’ve honestly been in like a 2 month reading slump😭. HOWEVER ladies and gentlemen, I think this one might do the trick. Even from just the beginning dedication and the author talking about why the wrote the book I was hooked.

I’m enjoying it so far. I’m excited to see when it really gets into the story of the book. Rn it kinda is just us getting to know the characters. But it’s good nonetheless

First chapter was good! Just from the little bit I’ve read. The magic is kinda giving Mistborn, but I’m excited to see how it is different

Look it’s gunna be a slow ride. But I am determined to finish these before the end of the year🫢

Took a break from reading while mom was in Tokyo. But I’m having a hard time enjoying this book. Idk it’s just not that good. It isn’t bad. It’s just meh

I’m really not sure what to think so far. It’s kinda like a take on the hunger games, but not quite, Also kinda like the movie Gamer. Idk yet if I’m into it or not.

OH MY WORD that’s crazy. Im kinda reading it slow because I don’t want to finish it too quickly and then have nothing written by RF Kuang else to read until August. And it’s just absolutely wild and amazing. Anyone who said this book was not good or didn’t like it is just wrong. I’m sorry

The book is great, but I’m not really liking the brother all that much. Idk if I’m supposed to yet. But he just makes me annoyed

I’m so shocked it’s taken me this long to get to reading this book. I’m barely 100 pages into it and it’s already so good!

Had to switch to the German edition on Goodreads because none of the English additions on here have the same amount of pages the one on my Kindle.😂 But! I’m only 4 chapters in and I just can already tell it’s going to be amazing! I’ve read every other book by R.F KUANG, so I just know it’s going to be good!
