I fucking love this book. Did she make a dumb deal with a fae at the beginning that I knew was a bad deal from the get go? Yes. Do I care? No. I love the actual progress from enemies to lovers. Still not quite fully enemies, but a lot more actual antagonizing than I feel like most books do. And the magic system is really interesting but doesn’t quite make sense yet. Love it.

Loving this so far. It’s a mulan retelling at first but the magic system and plot tension is really good. I have no idea how it’s going to end
