I can’t take this seriously with the Owl nickname. It’s not cute or sweet, it’s just plain weird. And will this be instalove because it feels like it will be.

Owl is a stupid nickname.

She’s spent half this book still in love with someone else. I’m already skeptical. I hate the male narrator, he sounds like a 60 year old.

The part I don't understand, is if he knew he loved her, why would he stay with his wife for 7 more years, the excuse doesn't even make sense.

Reading about a 30 year old in her 18 year old body is actually more annoying than I thought it would be. Because I feel like I'd do the same, tell your friend what she should do based on what already happened in the future.
