I'd personally say that paedophilia is not a tolerated demon but maybe that's just me...

I'm currently not enjoying this book. The writing is weird and the MC seems to have no quarms that his friend at age 34 had a relationship with a 15 year old girl and that she's been found dead in his garden. I may DNF this book but going to read a few more chapters before I decide

This is entirely a self indulgent beach read because I'm in such a pride and prejudice hole and netflix no longer has it so I can't watch my download and I can't download it on BBC iPlayer because I'm overseas

Punctuation has returned! I think that was the slowest I've ever read.

Just about to start a 101 page chapter with what I think has zero punctuation in it. Wish me luck.

So, currently, I'm confused because I genuinely think the MMC and love interest is over 100 years old. I don't think that's what's happening based on the fact this is a romance and I don't think there are any magical elements to it, but it definitely reads like that currently

Probably wasn't a great idea to start this book the week of two PhD interviews as I am once again mirroring emotions and unfortunately, (not a spoiler) the main character wants to kill herself.

I've tried to go back to this but I cannot. The COVID references are so triggering that it's unreadable in 2025

I cannot read any more of this today. My brain is too fried from travelling and I'm too emotionally drained

Bad news: she's in a real mood currently in the book and I'm so good at masking that I am mirroring her behaviour and therefore am accidentally in a mood myself

I'm now powering through this book now with chappell roans' bardcore version of pink pony club (pink pony inn) in the background

I am confused because I feel like the book should be over now? It felt like the whole purpose has pretty much been seen too now so idk what's going to happen for the next 500+ pages

My grandma gave me this book to read so I'm doing this for her. Although at almost 200 pages in I'm struggling to get into the story really, it's just sooooooo long winded. I feel like I've been reading this book for months anyway but I love my grandma too much to give up so I will power through and really hope that she won't give me another from the series to read.

What could be better than a murder mystery set at a national trust site. Literally two of my fave things

I'm already finding this weirdly hilarious because it's set in September 2001... In new York city..... And how the author tried to subtly alude to it just being after 9/11 before just dropping it into the next page paha

I'm going through a fantasy phase while I have a free trial of kindle unlimited. I am aware that this is my 10th fantasy book in as many days and that this is not normal. Normal service will resume soon

FMC has once again gained some semblance of strength so I'm much happier. Id also like to say now that they've mentioned that she cannot have children yet as she's only 26 which is INSTANT relief (+ it's very rare) and means I don't have to wait for the inevitable pregnancy at the end of every romantacy book

There's so many assumptions and FMC has gone back to chronic self lothing so that's painful.

1/3 books in this volume done. Really impressed with the character growth and balance in intensity throughout the first book in this volume

The most unrealistic thing so far is not that they both somehow managed to go on the same trip at the same time, but the pure ease at how easy they both flirt/pick people of the same gender up. Like HOW?!?!? it's unrealistic and insulting to my skills

I think it's better for everyone if we all just ignore this reread
