Kristin Hannah totally surprised me. I wasn’t sure how interesting this time period would be, but she made it so captivating. The mix of family, heartbreak, and resilience really pulls you in, and you feel like you’re right there living it with them. Such a powerful, beautifully written read—highly recommend.
