It’s so obvious but not at the same time. I feel like this is going to fix my reading slump and put me right back in

I love the concept of this book but the writing feels like high school

If it wasn’t for the audiobook I think I would’ve stopped reading, but I’ve got to see it through for some reason.. the flashbacks make no sense, it feels like they’re awkwardly placed throughout the book to help understand but she could’ve told the story from beginning to end and it would’ve made more sense. I know they’re supposed to secretly like each other but it doesn’t really feel like they do
