Every 3 pages or so she says that she’s super smart and knows how to control her emotions and then she immediately says some dumb shit or has an emotional outburst. I’m so tired of fantasy books having female leads with absolutely no critical thinking skills. There’s a big difference between foreshadowing and characters stating obvious plot points to come and your main character not picking up on it at all😭
