And with that I’ve finally read all the baddie myth retellings of really tragic people (Circe, Song of Achilles, Clytemnestra, Ariadne) with the exception of a Medusa retelling but I’m still hoping for Madeline Miller to write one of those.

I have so many thoughts and namely it’s just damn she really got the shit end of the stick and because it is a retelling you can’t give her a less sad story.

Only read Tress and the Emerald Sea but I'm unsure how to mark it as just that book on Goodreads! Did the audiobook version, was engaging and my first Brandon Sanderson book. I'm not obsessed~~~ but it was a good intro to his world building, which is indeed fun. The whole spores thing was cool, but I wasn't as into the ending of the book. Wouldn't knock down trying another one of his books though!

this book is too boring for me to ever finish. truly devious how much i don't care about this book and how i can not bring myself to continue reading beyond 1-5 pages every few months. ABANDONING
