Apparently, it’s true that reading on kindles is faster than paper books

I love o’briens characters. They’re just so good.

I’ve been listening to this while cleaning my parents kitchen. It’s been good and I like the content but the underlying philosophy of life and identity is troubling. I hope one day to better grasp how to seek athletic greatness as a Christian without falling into the philosophy that this book glorifies. All respect to the author, he’s incredible and inspiring. But enduring isnt everything.

Honestly, I’m sad to say I’ve been disappointed for much of this book. The intro was so good, but I can only recommend 1 or 2 of the other essays so far :(

I’m only at the beginning but the intro alone is enough for any woman (and any man) to buy this book, hopefully the rest stands to this expectation.

What I am noticing while reading this is the lack of citations from the Gospels. Claiming the Father teaches through the epistles isn’t necessarily wrong (don’t come after me. I’m literally just sharing thoughts) but it does show the blessing of the sacraments, they come directly from the gospels, from God’s direct action.

I’ve been reading this since June….i hope that explains my rating.
