it's fine. like. i dunno. lotta really cool labor history, but focusing on the austerity regimes of britain and italy in the 20th century, rather than the United States' (which makes only a handful of appearances) seems to miss the point, particularly in the context of the neoliberal American regimes under which we have lived for 40 years. similarly, focusing on "ideology" rather than material facts is a big misstep
