If you’re going to zhuzh up a contemporary romance, I want its complexity to make me feel something or learn something new about a niche topic.
Instead, this book has forced unnecessary complexity by having too many characters to distract that it’s a cheesy contemporary romance.
Also, it is unbelievable that she is a physicist. There is nothing about her internal monologue that points in that direction.

For a book with big grief, this is fucking hilarious. The narrator is INCREDIBLE. Do yourself a favor and listen to this and be charmed as fuck!!

If you want to bawl and laugh in ecstasy as you return and remember and make love to the goddess, holy mother fucking shit fuck read this book.

I read it back in 2017 and it was a part of my 👁️👄👁️. rereading it now and wowowowow, “spontaneous total gratitude”❤️‍🔥

Feel annoyed by the “certain emotions are better than others” rhetoric but appreciating the reminders to be with the present moment a lot a lot

I think this was objectively good, especially as an audiobook, but as I am a mood reader and I have been struggling with audiobooks in general lately, it was hard for me to get into.
A bit bummed about it.

This is taking me a bit to get through but ever time I read it, I really really enjoy it!

I’m 60% in and he still hasn’t shown any redeeming qualities. This is supposed to be our main man? EW

It’s also repetitive. I can’t tell you how many times he says “we will talk about this later!” It hasn’t emotionally moved forward so I’m getting annoyed.

But I LOVE the FMC and still very much invested

This is very addicting but at times repetitive and i want you to know it’s a lot about master/slave dynamics which is edgy for me and not for everyone!

Definitely some needed trigger warnings in this book.
And not all characters are believable.

Butttt it’s so fast paced that it’s really entertaining!

This is more of an old spell book to read during the different turnings of the year. I haven’t read it cover to cover, but it’s nice to turn to when needing some old folklore vibes.
