my stepmom recommended this book to me, she said it was one of her favorites, first time I’m truly stepping out of my usual fantasy genre without it being an assigned book to read for a class. ecstatic ^_^

I haven’t eaten through a book this fast in a little while. I’m trying not to credit it all to the big text making the pages extend. I wish the romance wasn’t as cliche but I’m a sucker for being finally understood when all you have been taught about yourself is to be ashamed. I enjoyed the twist of where the pearl was, finally explaining Vanna’s literal radiance.

in between decent paragraphs describing fantasy worlds and real internal struggles of the mc is the most wattpad drivel of romance ever. I understand the mc is supposed to be nonbinary but all I read is the most basic m/f relationship of lust and oh he so sexy, there is no genuine connection between the mc and their love interest
