So I think Leon (maybe Feyne or whatever his F diciples was called) totally stole magic and is using in an evil way AKA The Blight actually occurs when the mages siphon energy, so the Tiranians are actually actively committing murder. Also women are better magic users so they needed to be oppressed in Tiran, as they would have found out the truth (and Leon hates women). Im so angry about everything already
