I’ve never met actual best friends that refer to themselves as “best friends” in every conversation they have with each other.

I am so bored of being told fact after fact about George.

They have an unspoken rule since puberty that they can’t touch?!? They are “best friends” but a hug crosses the line?

…….gotta say my first impression of the FMC is not great. What do you mean you’re at the welcome dinner for your wedding weekend and all you can think about is you male best friend showing up?! Maybe you shouldn’t be getting married to someone else? The first 40 pages are spent on an info dump of George. I want to learn about him throughout the novel. Not be told.

“I wanted to watch the last ten months in third person.” Okay… I forgive you, Larissa. You didn’t see what I saw so clearly.

Okay… Larissa has a very valid point. Chris covered for Mike so many times, Larissa had a a very skewed image of who Mike actually is… Yes, Chris did it so she’d be happy and safe. As selfless as his choices were, they helped lead Larissa to where she is now.

My heart is breaking for Chris.

She’s been dating this guy for 9 months, is moving in with him and has ZERO idea if he has any career plan?! He works 15 hours a week as a personal trainer and refuses to use his trade education to work for his father’s successful business because he “doesn’t want too.” GIRL.

Larissa is sure on her mom’s case for her dating and life decisions when she is literally following the same path with Mike. Girl, please wake up.

SHES MOVING IN WITH HIM. OFFICIALLY. Abby, please turn this ship around SOON.

I am loving this book but I am starting to get annoyed with Larissa. Shes been with Mike for 6 months now… she practically lives with him… his mom and sister hate her… she said “I love you” but doesn’t feel it… Girl. Do
something. Break up with him. If she doesn’t do something soon, Chris deserves better.

Blake is really fucking pissing me off.

Gavin’s a 40 something year old man and he can’t man up and tell his captain/best friend/teammate that he has feelings for his stepsister and then date Vanessa. Just easier to keep her a dirty little secret.

Vanessa has no self worth and Gavin is taking advantage of it. He told his teammate he would tell the captain (Vanessa’s brother) about their one night stand but never does. Worse, he moves her into his apartment, insists she sleep in his bed and then starts banging her.

Look, these hockey romance books are a dime a dozen. How do you expect me to remember one scene, four books ago between the FMC’s step brother and herself that defines her as an “evil step sister.”

Olivia is right, he doesn’t love her. He fell in love with convenience, just like his dad said.

I think the author’s intention was for Colin’s dad to come across as an asshole but he made very very valid points. Colin DID pick the low hanging fruit to “fall in love” with. Olivia was convenient.

This has got to be one of my least favorite FMC ever. She is a hot mess.

Olivia’s boss discovers her lying and she immediately blames Colin for no good reason. Yes, this grown, successful man went to your place and employment, found your boss and told her you lied about having children in order to get hired. 🙄

150 pages in and there is neither romance nor comedy. Olivia and Colin have little to no friendship, they see each other in passing or for awkward interactions with Olivia’s brother present.

I’ve just been reading about Olivia stumbling and lying her way thru life. Her clumsiness is not endearing or cute. It’s annoying. Pull it together, Olivia!

This whole evil boss situation is so ridiculous because all Delilah needed to do was document instances of discrimination, abuse, retaliation, and witness statements and go to the state employment office or EEOC to report him. Keith is breaking numerous laws. But instead we get this juvenile pizza party with teenagers, 20-30 year olds and an executive trying to fix this.

Jackson having no backup plan for the most likely scenario of his mom not showing up to the girls’ event is so out of character for him. He doesn’t trust her and yet when she says she is going to the girls’ school event (which is extremely important to them) he doesn’t plan for the inevitable?
